Being an artist is not a choice, rather it is an instinct. Since I was a child, I always felt an interest towards art, then as I grew older that interest turned into passion and slowly became a significant part of my life. While I was building a family of my own with two boys, I first graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in fashion design, then from California State University of Northridge in fine arts. Right after graduation, I started to teach art in a private school. Working with kids gave me a very different perspective about art. Their work was not bound by the principles of design, color theory or any other rules. Their art was genuine and free simply because it came from their heart and mind. The experience of watching them create their own style without any restrictions encouraged me to break free from my boundaries and dared me to challenge myself in many different ways and helped me find my own style.
